Does x pipe make exhaust louder. Further detail about this can be seen here. I know a good set of headers or Bullets would do the trick but im not looking to install headers or a different exhaust. They make the exhaust sounds louder and more aggressive with deeper tones. The engine in a dual exhaust vehicle runs more efficiently and with less effort. Im not lieing when i say i have had so many people tell me i have the best sounding car they have ever heard.
X-pipes are generally raspier and louder than H or Y-pipes and have been shown to provide slightly more power than their counterparts. For the most part the answer is no. The sound isnt bouncing of the houses just going down. The engine in a dual exhaust vehicle runs more efficiently and with less effort. The H will have a bit more volume and more true muscle sound. In general yes an XH pipe will help with exhaust flow specifically aiding in scavenging.
There are single side exhausts dual rear exhausts and dual side exhaustsThey each produce a different level of sound. Or what can i do to make it louder. The consensus opinion among exhaust flow experts is that any V8 engine will benefit from an H-pipe or X-pipe section mounted on a dual exhaust system. I suggest you look for YouTube videos comparing the before and after sound for your specific car model and downpipe. The primary reason drivers install a set of exhaust tips is for the enhanced appearance the tips providenot to make their vehicle louder.
If you just want loud go straight pipes no h no x no mufflers.
Does dual exhaust consume more fuel.

Resonators on the exhaust tubing can eliminate drone. H-pipe louder deep a lot more popping and rougher sounding exhaust x-pipe a little quieter a little higher pitched still deep less popping a lot smoother and a better tuned sound. An H-pipe dual exhaust will emit that smooth classic old-school muscle sound while the X-pipe will produce a louder raspier tone. Wait till i figure out of to video tape it haha. When sound waves cross over inside of a balance pipe some of the harshness in the exhaust note is cancelled out smoothing tone and reducing interior noise.
The x will probably build more power than an h crossover and it will sound different.

If you cant find them at least research on forums.
