Oil dripping on exhaust pipe. Here are the most common reasons why this is happening and what you should do about it. It was running rough upon initial startup but thats because it was literally drowning in oil. The oil is running pretty quickly. Hm ive had oil leak onto a pipe for years it was a rear crank seal and dripped out of where the tranny and engine meet. If the oil is leaking onto the exhaust pipe this will cause smoke as the exhaust pipe gets very hot burns the oil you will need to find out just where the oil is leaking from repair the leak by replacing the gasket or whatever is causing the leakhope.
Idling doesnt get the pipe and can hot enough to keep the oil suspended in the exhaust so it condenses on the cooler pipecan. Okay had some oil leaks that was dripping on to the exhaust area so I changed the valve cover gaskets new upper and lower intake manifold gaskets cleaned the black plastic lines breather box and washed the under of the car but I can still see slight oil leak and smoke. Only show this user. If its not either of that you have to lift your rav crawl under follow where the oil is coming from. There should be a seal probably just an O-ring that keeps the exhaust and burnt oil from seeping out the shafts of the power valve.
Mostly the exhaust manifold of course. If its not either of that you have to lift your rav crawl under follow where the oil is coming from. There was a 14 think layer of crud on the exhaust at that point when I sold the car all of overheatedburnedcharred oil. Mixed with that soot the condensation coming out of the car exhaust could form an oil-like liquid.

There should be a seal probably just an O-ring that keeps the exhaust and burnt oil from seeping out the shafts of the power valve. Why is there oil in my tailpipe.
