Water heater exhaust pipe making noise. Its hard to tell if these are serious problems with PDV water heaters. Flue Pipe on gas furnace heater making dripping tap-tap-tap sound. Does anybody have first-hand knowledge about these noise sources on PDV water. Sounds like a Ruud is a either a re-badged Lenox or theyre using the Lenox pulse air technology.
This noise is nothing like the fan noise close to the water heater. The temperature and pressure relief valve can determine how high the pressure has been set. The sound is triggered only AFTER there is a short burst of warm water at any faucet and only if there has been no faucet use for 20-30min or longer. In most cases the solution is to have. About 3 feet from the point where the two horizontal pipes join 23 from the last elbow there is a clicking noise that we hear whenever the exhaust fan is running.
My contractor redirected a flue pipe for exhaust of gas furnace heater to come out of the side of the house and go up. Are you sure it is the intake and exhaust pipe. Please see the picture. Yes the gurgling sound happens if and only if the heater is running.
Please see the picture. QOur neighbor across the street is complaining about the loud humming sound coming from our water heater exhaust vent and is threatening to report us to the authorities. This doesnt require any additional ductwork pipes or vents because its built into the existing system. When theres an issue in draining this condensation it may cause gurgling dripping or other watery sounds.
